ABOUT

KWVKU is a storyteller at heart, using the language of R&B to turn life’s challenges into soulful, authentic music. Meaning God’s child who was born on Wednesday, KWVKU makes sure that every verse, melody, and hook comes from real experience, lived through the cultures of Ghana, Nigeria, and now New York—each song is a chapter of resilience, created for those who’ve been through the fire and keep choosing to rise each day.

Bringing the influences of his Western African roots into the realm of influential gospel and R&B artists , KWVKU started honing his skills with his siblings at the age of 6 under the instruction and guidance of his father. At the age of 12, KWVKU branched to study under Eve Soto of Ready To Sing where he made the decision to pursue music as a career.

Inspired by the likes of DIXSON, Kehlani, Camper, Tank, Jodeci, The Clark Sisters, Sevyn Streeter, and Usher, KWVKU’s music is a blend of vulnerability, strength, and pure honesty. Their sound weaves emotive storytelling with rich R&B influences, aiming to reach anyone searching for hope and understanding through struggle.

In March 2025, KWVKU introduced his voice to the world with the three-track EP, “Numb”—a powerful prelude to the emotional depth and genuine topics found in his music. Each track invites listeners to step into KWVKU’s journey while reflecting on their own.

In April of 2026, KWVKU returned from his short hiatus and stepped into his new era as he released the lead single, “Sitting High Up” from his upcoming EP “Sorry For Your Loss”. The record is a powerful letter about maneuvering grief and coming out on the other side feeling at the very least hopeful. We can anticipate the EP to come out in the fall.

Above all, KWVKU’s mission is clear: to remind every listener that better days are possible, and peace and happiness can be found, no matter the obstacles. For anyone fighting through, KWVKU’s music is your anthem for resilience and hope.
